About the Book

Blazing Edits collects writings by Bhakta Torben Nielsen examining changes made to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Bhagavad-gītā As It Is. The essays were originally published as an ongoing series through the Sampradaya Sun and Arsa-Prayoga.

The book approaches the controversy through concrete examples. It asks whether particular revisions are necessary, whether they improve the text, and—more fundamentally—whether later editors possess the authority to alter Śrīla Prabhupāda’s published work after his departure.

The e-book was produced through a cooperative effort involving Bhakta Torben Nielsen as author, Bhakta Max Køngerskov on design and layout, Ajit Krishna Dasa as the originator of the book project, and the Sampradaya Sun as publisher.
