Salt in the Caranamrta book cover

Ajit Krishna Dasa

A substantial collection of articles, letters, rebuttals, quotations, and debates originally published through Arsa-Prayoga.

About the Book

Salt in the Caranamrta gathers much of the early Arsa-Prayoga material into one volume. It brings together articles, correspondence, rebuttals, quotations, and debates concerning the posthumous editing of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books and the principles involved in preserving his published works.

The collection reflects the development of the Arsa-Prayoga argument over a number of years. Rather than treating individual changes as isolated editorial curiosities, it asks the larger question: by what authority may the published words of the ācārya be altered after his departure?

Because the volume grew directly out of the website’s articles and exchanges, it also preserves a portion of the history of the book-changes debate itself.
