Correcting Corrections – Future BBT job?

Are you looking for a job? BBTI has the perfect job for you who like to correct corrections. This is an example of what you will do  – 8 hours a day, 5 days a week:

Nectar of Instruction, Text One, Purport:

Original 1975 BBT Edition:

“As for the agitations of the flickering mind, they are divided into two divisions.”

An older edition from BBTI:

“As for the agitations of the bickering mind, they are divided into two divisions.”

BBTI’s newest edition:

“As for the agitations of the flickering mind, they are divided into two divisions.”

As you can see it seems that the mind of the editor was, after all, flickering. Just like in this example your job will be to correct all such corrections. Do not worry. You will be guaranteed work until you reach the age of retirement. And the job is well paid.

prab-rupaPrabhupada at Rupa Goswami’s Samadhi (©Bhaktivedanta Book Trust)

Rupa Goswami says in Nectar of Instruction, text 6:

“Being situated in his original Kṛṣṇa conscious position, a pure devotee does not identify with the body. Such a devotee should not be seen from a materialistic point of view. Indeed, one should overlook a devotee’s having a body born in a low family, a body with a bad complexion, a deformed body, or a diseased or infirm body. According to ordinary vision, such imperfections may seem prominent in the body of a pure devotee, but despite such seeming defects, the body of a pure devotee cannot be polluted. It is exactly like the waters of the Ganges, which sometimes during the rainy season are full of bubbles, foam and mud. The Ganges waters do not become polluted. Those who are advanced in spiritual understanding will bathe in the Ganges without considering the condition of the water.”

(So is Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad-gita As It Is not as purifying as the Ganges?! And should we, taking Rupa Goswami’s instructions above to heart, find any faults in it?!)

Greetings from Denmark,
Hare Krishna.
